Mecosta Osceola Science Symposium (MOSS)
MOSS, the first science fair for middle and high school students in Big Rapids and the surrounding area, serves as a venue for scientific exploration into a variety of topics, from statistical robotics to capitalistic incentives. Winners are offered monetary prizes and publication opportunities

Outreach Programs
We reach out to educators and students at the grassroots level. By visiting schools and connecting with teachers and principals, we hope to individually affect change. Some of our current projects include hosting forum for science educators and engaging local high school students in volunteer work. We seek collaboration with both educators and students, and welcome any suggestions.

The Lecture Series
Through YouTube Live, The Science Squad brings world-class professors and their research to students of all socioeconomic backgrounds for an interactive, conversational lecture. Lectures occur once a month, and last for 5-10 minutes. Topics range from the mathematical basis of musical harmony to political science to CRISPR biotechnology. Join us for this fantastic experience!
